A gift for Sally and Wendy! ^__^Just to say thanks for being kickety ass friends.
I've been working on this when i havent been working on commissions for about a week, not entirely happy with it, i have to find my own digital style, and then improve it.
I'm trying to practise it whenever i can. Oh yeah, they're on the floor, thats suppose to be carpet 8D ... yeah.
I really hope you guys like it! ^__^

well lets see here, i'll take a shot at critique.

after much looking, one thing i see that sets it off from being perfect is that that there is no shadow connecting them to the floor. This gives it the look that they are floating in water. also with the shading on the fur and air of the two characters (more on the rabbits ear closest to us) looks a little over shaded giving it a more depth picture, like its underwater lol
another tiny thing i think could be added is a darker pupil in the eye, just to give it more soul,character, and expression

I tried to apply shadow, but that didnt seem to work. Do you think i needed a more solid form of a shadow as opposed to the soft one i used?

well depending, did you want a more directional light like a sun or more faded shadow like inside a room?

well it's supposed to be inside a room, they're near a window with natural light

This looks almost official, the expressions and the anatomy look very similar to official Sega art, so good job on that
And to fix the problem of it not looking like carpet, i suggest you add more texture to it, maybe with photoshop or something to make it look more floofy instead of lat-looking
