Description

Last night, I sat in front of computer watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on YouTube, because the rented DVD version my dad got had a major scratch on it (which was a bummer, but at least I got to see the entire movie even though YouTube divided it in segments). Well, anyway, I was trying to sketch Willy Wonka, but due to some dark force emanating from my subconscious, it came out rather twisted and evil-looking. So I decided to turn it into my own mad scientist character, Doctor Jellidar. So now it's a insane genius lamia guy in a Willy Wonka costume instead.

I think the reason why my drawing turned dark was because I used Johnny Depp as a reference instead of Gene Wilder. Gene Wilder was weird, but wasn't as creepy as Johnny Depp in portraying Willy Wonka.

Gene Wilder creeped me out when I was a kid. He also once portrayed a scarecrow coming alive and I was actually afraid of him as a child. This is a creepy drawing by the way.

Thanks. Was that a horror movie where he was a scarecrow coming to life?

No, it was actually a made for TV movie that I saw light years ago. I'm going to see if I can Google it............Yep, it was just called The Scarecrow. Here's a link:

I can't take the link because of the risk of getting that spam thing, but it sounds to me like it might be part of that horror series concerning cursed antiques.
