We were watching Kar-Wai Wong's 2046 (which I got from ~pebaline for xmas
) with `suzi9mm the other night, and while the plot was a bit confusing/slow to get to grips with, visually it was striking. It resulted in this impromptu photo shoot. I just wanted to get that green and red in there, colours which are quite prominent throughout the film. There are some more conceptual shots from this set as well, but I settled on submitting this quite straightforward portrait in the end. Couldn't make up my mind so I just went with 'the first one'.

That worked out very well! I dont much like her hand to her face but I am not familiar with the movie so it may have come from that

love the gradient of lighting behind. and that movie ! ive been dying to hear it and its supposed to be more accessible to me, me living in HK, i really want a copy (send yours to me

It's a lovely shot (and this is just ME being nit-picky, so ignore me if you will), but I find it a little distracting that there are fine wisps of hair coming from behind her ear/earring. It wouldnt be so bad, but its in a bright spot of light, so therefore very noticeable.

I love the colors and the lighting in this shot especially, gives it a nice moody feel

2046 is wonderful. and i imagine drooling marianne considering all the beautiful colours and stills in it.
i like how she looks changed with a short haired wig. looks good aswell. but, of course, nothing tops jen en naturel

Well, it did certainly look wonderful. I think the cider had something to do with us getting a bit confused/bored with the plot though.
Oh and it's a long hair wig, we were trying to do it up, but it got so heavy it kept sliding back all the time, so the 'hair do' looks different in every shot.
