Finding a fanart of Houshin Engi is rare. Finding a very good one even more. I fav'ed as soon as I saw it.

It comes from the manga Senkaiden Houshin Engi, by Ryu Fujisaki, one of the greatest shounen manga ever written because of the very intelligent way it both uses and subverts classical shounen manga tropes, and because of the wonderful absurd humour of each situation (have been a fan for more than 10 years).
And Ryu Fujisaki has a rather unique way of drawing and designing characters and clothes. It has also been adapted as an anime in the 90s, which covers about one third-half of the manga and then creates its own end, but it really is subpar compared with the original.

The shading is so soft and there is a very good sence of depth and motion. It kinda gives a sence of freedom and peace while there is a feeling of an intence adventure ahead. A great piece of art, indeed!
