But you all realize that if it wasn't for "Eggman" SatAM may have never excisted? No matter how much you might hate him. Sega is the reason of all of the other Robotnik's existance. Sega is the PRIME of it all.
That is why I like ALL of the Robotnik version...as the Sonic/Robotnik freak I am.

Back then he was referred to as Robotnik and not Eggman.But to make things less confusing red jumpsuit Eggman was IVO.

Back then he was called Eggman. He was always Eggman. For some reason, when they shipped the game over seas, they changed it to "Robotnik". An odd choice, really. Not a bad one, but odd.
...now naming his creations "badnicks"...that was a bad choice. They're robots. Just robots. Powered by lil' animals.

Badniks like Sonic and his friends are the Goodnikcs, get it So"nic" Robot"nik" lol. And Robotnik sounds waaayyy better than "Eggman" lol thats for sure. And it does not matter if it was Eggman first in Japan, cause it was always Robotnik in the west up till the Adventure era, ew. And also, Sonic 1 was released in America before Japan so Robotnik came first.

Technically, Sega had very little to do with SatAM. Why would they pay it any mind? Eggman came first, like it or not. He just got a little redesigning.
...I do miss Jim Cummings though. His voice made Robotnik for me. Especially his final rant at the end. "I really...HATE that hedgehog. I hate him. HATE! HATE! HATE!"
