Yep. Did a countryhuman. Because I live in the trash. Her name is Rhiannon Cadgwen, and she's an excessively powerful witch. The best example of this was when she physically separated the Cambrian Isles from the mainland of Europe, largely to get some peace and quiet. Didn't really work considering that everyone kept trying to invade anyways. That staff of hers is the main method by which she wields magic, but not the way you would imagine: she's actually much more powerful without it but it allows her to focus it in a way that doesn't just cause a shitton of collateral damage.

Personality-wise she's as much of a bitch as you might imagine someone representing the Celtic Empire to be, in the sense that she tends to be needlessly abrasive around people she doesn't like (which is unfortunately most of Europe). Granted as someone who's like an incarnation of nature this takes a lot of forms: much like the weather she can swing from being gentle and kind to cruel and relentless at a moment's notice. She used to have a much bigger family before the Romans and Germans killed them off, and she's a bit excessively protective of her two remaining siblings of Eire and Alban. It may also be why she's so protective of Iceland and Sápmi, her two adoptive children and the latter of whom she nearly killed Sweden in the process of "adopting".

Being the oldest country in Europe at the moment she's something of an enigma to most other nations, given that their opinions of her are mostly formed from her tendency to be rough and abrasive and from her use of magic in a Christian environment that explicitly stigmatizes it, not to mention her outspokenly feminist attitudes in a very conservative era. Perhaps the most irritating thing to her is that she is in fact conventionally attractive and most Europeans seem to only really see her personality as 'fixable' for the purpose of being with her, a very incorrect assessment as France learned the hard way over several centuries. Not that she minds being pretty, she just doesn't like it being the metric by which Europe judges her.

Even if all the rest about her wasn't true she'd still be a strange person. As a witch she's always collecting things like mushrooms and herbs and spices for use in her spells, has a strange fascination with death that unnerves most people, and tends to be unusually comfortable around topics such as sex, nudity, and the general concept of human sexuality. She can talk to animals which makes a lot of people think she's slightly crazy, and is also unusually bookish with a tendency to write things down. In general you end up being a complicated kind of person when you've been alive for more than 2,000 years.
