Description Fans of niche topics in world cartographic bullshit will know that for a time Norway claimed the Sverdrup Islands in the Arctic Archipelago for a few years, then promptly gave them away in order to get Britain to agree that they owned Jan Mayen and Svalbard. I made this purely to get the "what if they didn't" worm out of my brain.
