Description
Say what you will about Texas and its flag, it's undeniably one of the most iconic and well-recognized flags in the United States, and one of those flags that really can't be redesigned unless you either subtly alter the existing design or create something entirely new. I chose to take the former route, by simply adding a green bar into the mix and moving the red bar to the top. In this way it evokes the Texas Centennial Flag made to celebrate its 100 year anniversary in 1936, maintains a cohesion with the existing flag, and of course adds in the legacy of its Mexican history, especially in chorus with the red and white stripes.
