Alphonse, or “Lonzo,” as most call him, was the toughest man on the streets in the glory days. Now, as a diabetic in his mid-60s, he remains boss of the Stefano Family, but in name only. His younger protégé Nino does the bulk of the real work. Lonzo still makes appearances at family sit-downs, and he also sanctions hits. He has a granddaughter, Giulia, who calls Lorenzo “Uncle Lore.” Lonzo’s favorite activities include sipping wine and picking on the Turos.
