Dia de los Muertos is a celebration of life and death in Mexico. Monarch butterflies migrate south and usually end up in Mexico right around the holiday. They are thought to carry the souls of the dead back to visit their living loved ones.I don't live in Mexico, but their is a rather large celebration and parade in my town anyway, due to our large Mexican population.
