Lovely dog. If i ever got a dog again, it would NOT be a puppy. Cute as they are, they are too much of a handful

I agree!! My friend got two puppies (from a petshop, even though I warned her against it, ergh) and one of them got horribly sick (although that was their fault for buying from a petshop) and the other has this fear problem where he pees every time someone fusses over him or spends to much time petting him.

Well, all animals from petshops come from puppymills, which are horrible places that literally spew sick, diseased, and inbred dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and other pet animals out to the public. It's a serious problem, and people in my city are amazingly blind to it.
I did a report on it in my English class because I was sick of everyone getting golden retriever puppies from this one place, and even went as far to get one of our Animal Lovers clubs to protest against this poodle puppy auction my school holds every year at a school festival as a fundraiser.

Eugh, puppy mills. I'd rather pick up a stray any day. We've made a point of never buying animals (except for goldfish and a canary, but it was from a good petshop, no puppy mills in Malta that I know of). We just get from Sancuaries (see macavity in my gallery) or we find strays in our garden (see Tabby in my gallery), or we 'borrow' the neighbours cat, who spends so much time in our garden that he should pay rent.

That's great that you adopt. And it's a good feeling too, you're giving a homeless pet a home, you're giving money to a shelter that cares for homeless animals, and you're decreasing the stray population. People who buy from pets stores and breeders do none of that.

Macavity, the evil little black vcat, is pretty snobby for a rescue cat. He only likes expensive food for a start. He's always doing the tough guy thing, though is is really a wimp. He also curls up on a laptop case in the TV room and spends all day sleeping.

Hahaha, my friend has a cat like that. He despises everyone and has this "special spot" on top of a dresser where he stares at anyone passing by, and I swear it's like he's saying "You are beneath me!"

Ours has now lost his voice. I think he's a bit ill. he can only squeak hoarsley. He's getting very heavy, too, about 5k, and he's quite a big cat. Makes picking him up tiring. Mac's the dominant male in our garden, which e has to share with neighbouring cat Ziggy and Tabby, a stray. He's very jealous of Tabby, asmnd whenever tabby comes in to eat, he stalks off to sulk.

Aww, I hope he gets better.
That's so cute! I love cats, but I know nothing about them so most of my friends' cats hate me because I don't know what irratates them or what makes them happy because I've only had dogs.

Yeah, but at least she was adopted quickly.
