Hmm, I remember this from elfwood, a mods choice, a while back! Kinda gave up on that place for my own work after a while though... XP
I love the atmosphere in this, and that feather... soo pretty and, feather like! 
Anyway, it's a fantastic piece as it is, the rest of your gallery is great too.

and I fully agree with elfwood, i got rid of my gallery there as well after all the slanderment and crap from people left there in comments...that place is not too artist friendly if anyone wants my opinion..but shh..i wont go there...(whistles happy tunes to go into her happy place)

I love how the eyes glow. Just love the effect. I remember this from Elfwood. Once you get a mod's choice there everyone swarms to your page like ants to honey. The system there is more difficult than dA's from what I heard.

Thankyou.. I changed this around abit as well..polished it as it looked aweful on my new comp screen. I think my older computer had a darker screen resolution, so everything looked ok..till i got this one with -normal- settings LOL. Yeah this was a mods choice..but I do love deviants way of formulating their system the best out of all the art sites I'm on..its user friendly, fun, and i can fiddle with stuff..i love fiddling (hehe) okok..i rambled long enough..so new peices should be coming soon, but for 2 weeks i'm undergoing massive exams for nursing school..so got 1 more week to go.

Hehe thanx, oddly enough you mentioned the clothes, cause thats what I started on first. So technically, the picture fell around the movement of cloth..go figure.
I've been trying to get into the style of the old pre-raphaelites, with the look of her face, the cloth...all in all, it would be the background that don't match..but eh...what can ya do..
I was pondering adding more blood to the palm reaching for the feather, but ended up leaving merely the hole and placing the pool of blood on her other hand instead, i wanted the focus of the picture to be the last remaining feather in the sky...
(well..tried too anyway!)

There's two, one on each palm. Basically a mark of the damned? (chuckles) or perhaps annointed upon the fallen angel for penance, think of stakes through each palm.

That's what I thought at first - stakes through palms, but the red marks do not like stake marks but rather ink marks. And some how I was distracted by them. None the less overall it does look very nice ! ! !

Same case here, I work at a software company 5 days a week, and usually draw on weekends... and I think there are more than 30 things I started, did not find time to finish and later did not find the urge to finish ! ! ! L O L.

perhaps i'll go back and re-work the wounds. Currently i'm running around like a chicken with its head...decapitated, with working 6 days a week plus studies for the LPN schooling. Regretfully i'm such a procrastionator, that i bore of my own art quickly, and rarely do i ever go back to...redue or make better. lol

Thankyou, I had alot of fun with this one, was hard to try to make the -angel- appear falling though. Not sure if I got it right or not.
