When I saw 'ponytail' on the inktober 2022 prompt list I knew there would be one I could do for sure. Ok, actually two but let's see how that goes as it may be called on a technicality...
Chenelle [one of my OCs] was having a lot of fun with this. I think she was trying to ribbon dance with her own hair... Chenelle usually has her hair up in a high ponytail which has a natural cleft to it for whatever reason. She does occasionally have her hair straight down/natural.
This one was actually a study and/or practice for one I may still post today. And if not today for sure in the future. I wanted to do some work with the stipple paper to show off her ponytail but did this practice with a plain ol' pencil and a Prismacolor 935. You can see a stipple paper piece below. That stuff is magical! [the paper and the ponytail, lol].
I also want to shout out to some other people's renditions of Chenelle and her ponytail. The journal has many more [and truly I love them ALL!) but I can only post a few here due to DA's 'six thumbnail limit':
