Skill 1: Perception - Her powers to perceive others has increased over time. She is able to read a person's emotions and even thoughts (to an extent) based on body language. Even the slightest nervous tick that a person isn't aware of she will notice. She is also sensitive to the emotion in the air. (Auras if you will.)

Skill 2: Nature Lover - Nilam's knowledge of Pennute plant life is unsurpassed. She remembers the properties of each and possible uses both medicinal and for battle. And for fun of course. Now she doesn't always have access to the plants but she knows where to find them.

Skill 3: Soothings - The 'Soothings' are an ancient technique to calm the mind, body and spirit of any animal (and in some cases trees). It's a mixture of voice, touch, and presence. This is one of the few things she still remembers her mother teaching her. It's helpful when treating a particularly frightened animal or person. The patient usually goes into a trance-like state during a session of Soothings.

*Skill 4: Pole Dancing - Strengthening her legs and upper body, Nilam has improved her pole dancing abilities. She can scale a pole quickly, support her weight with only one leg or one arm, and jump between poles if need be. Kind of useful for escaping sticky situations or to earn some extra cash.

Personality
Her smile is like an animal, her eyes are dark like fire, her movements suggest grace and she smells of forbidden fruit. Nilam knows she has all these things which she utilizes to her benefit. However, it's all business, never personal when she's seducing with words. Behind the showy persona, is someone deeply wounded and betrayed. She trusts no one, but herself. Nilam is broken, a shell of the happy, hopeful young girl she once was. However, she has lost none of the passion for doing the things she enjoys.

History
Nilam was a bright young botany student who put her whole heart into everything she did. It was to the point that she was a bit isolated from her peers. However, like many girls, she was very prone to romance and fell for a young Leiian named Hsith.

She was an innocent girl and very naive. Hsith was dangerous for her. He knew that this bright girl would be key to getting out of the village. With hard work she was able to earn enough to buy him an expensive bow and several magical items. Hsith convinced her to come with him when he left the village promising to be with her forever.

Upon exiting the Rusuan Forest, he sold her for transportation. This devastated Nilam and triggered an almost feral instinct. She escaped her captors and set off to find Hsith again. When she did find him again, Hsith had a new lover. Plunged into depression, Nilam attempted to end her life by isolating herself in a wood to wait for death. She was found by a band of nomads who nursed her back to health.

Nilam has spent the past 10 years with the troupe as she is unable to return to Terpua. In that time, she has learned many valuable skills that make her a very valuable asset to the troupe. Nilam's extensive knowledge and passion for plants has helped her develop a large variety of potions, salves, aloes and perfumes.

Within the troupe, she attaches herself closely with her mentor, Mohana or "Madame Ruby". She learned her fortune telling and showmanship from her. It was also largely thanks to Mohana that Nilam was able to put her failed romance behind her and smile again. However, her joy usually comes at the expense of others. Utilizing her charm, looks, and lies, Nilam learned to manipulate an audience or customer. Somewhere in the back of her mind (in a far, far corner) she knows that this makes her no better than her betrayer, Hsith.

Nilam utilizes her readings to help other young girls avoid the betrayal she felt. So she gives the most accurate love readings she can and advice. Because of the troupes limitations, she has only traveled throughout Pennute. Nilam is determined to see other kingdoms and study the plants there. She is afraid to leave the troupe behind but she's certain that she will have to leave eventually.

-Her nails are long and strong, perfect for scratching someone who ignores her rule of "look but don't touch". And she prefers to draw blood.

-Her sword is mostly for used as a dancing prop. She is more likely to use her hidden bodice dagger to hurt someone.

-Her "big sister" Mohana is really a transvestite. She's probably the only man she ever allowed close to her.

-Deep, deep, deep down inside, she does want to find true love but its buried under years of hurt, hate, bitterness, and cynicism.
