Dirty Three - Long Way To Go With No Punch : [link]

Another old photo from my trip, that's just a bit away from the town, it's just a long road leading to seemingly nowhere. I tried going to the power station to take a few shots of it but was just drained out after an hour of walking, plus it was about to start pouring down. I was sitting at the corner of the street on a few bricks while listening to Dirty Three - She Has No Strigns Apollo and their song started playing. It's a very brutally lonesome tune, and it just fit the scene and my mood while just sitting there looking at this empty field. The angle was very interesting, so I alligned the bricks on top of each other and snap, a shot later and I got this.

Dirty Three is easily oen of the most unique and overwhelming post rock bands of our day and age. Their approach to the genre is more classical/minimalistic than others. Using nothing but percussion, guitar and violin they weave the most heartbreaking, euphoric and timid tales. If the regular cresendo/descendo method most post rock bands tend to follow these days strike you as unimagnative, then be sure to cheak out Dirty Three.
