There are many photos of Venice floating around and this is not just any regular photo of Venice! This HDR piece manages to capture the livelihood of Venice with a lot of contrasting going on. The most obvious is in the colors, which are perfect - great color contrasts make the eyes stop and stare but they're not too bright to take away from the whole experience of this photo. There is also a raw vs crisp contrast going on that is a bit more subtle but it gives the piece a nice flavor, i.e. the graininess on the red building to the right and on the boat to the left contrasting with the rest of the piece being very clear. The classic composition (centered bridge) is much more interesting thanks to the colors and the subjects. Overall this is amazing work!
