Description seeing females in a sexualized manner kind of bothers me, so i'll probably skip out on getting a copy of skullgirls even if i had a system its available on.

though i'm starting to think that the game is worth it, just for the awesome that is peacock! she's such an interesting character, i think. best thirteen year old cyborg chain smoker?? heck yes

i dont think the drawing turned out too well, but i'm tired of not drawing at all and just wanted to get something out, you know? even if it is ugly

mmmh, i still didn't buy Skullgirls, but to me it looks like fanservice done right: sure there is a lot of overly sexualization, but on the other hand each character is well developed and has a bit more characterization besides tits and ass(such as Venom for hair and , catgirl), not all of them are sexualized(Peacock, Double and Painwheel), the humour is clever and there is a big load of nightmare fuel to counter the fanservice.

I have to admit, that despite my little rant, I actually do quite agree with you on this. there is quite a bit of nightmare fuel, and as far as i can tell the game doesn't seem to take itself TOO seriously. Im still not overly fond of nightmare fuel either, so its still probably gonna be a pass. ill see if i can try it out though before i make any final judgements. you totally know im gonna play it for peacock, though

I totally understand what you mean about oversexualized female characters. I guess it's meant to grab men's attention. Personally I'm more interested in designs that are unique and blow my mind like the Bogeyman and Peacock. But my dislike with sexified characters stems from my personal lack of respect for slutty women and men in the real world; I just can't take them seriously.

Yeah, exactly! I like really unique designs, but after seeing oversexualized females, particularly in western comics and Japanese anime, its really hard to find someone sexualized, but actually unique and not over done, you know?

Personally, it just makes me feel uncomfortable seeing most characters and people in sexual situations. I don't know if its because I'm leaning towards asexual, or what.

No, I think that the reason why it gets old of seeing over-sexualized characters is because they lack originality. You can have sexy, and then you have the recycled cookie-cutter cat girl that you've seen a hundred times. It all depends on the design.
