Description So, with the new movie coming out (SO STOKED), I decided I wanted to make the main women of Les Mis (except for Mme Thernardier...ugh).

Keep in mind - I'm going off of how they're described in the BOOK, and not how they are depicted in the movie.

Fantine's doll is showing her after she had to cut and sell her hair, but before she had to sell her teeth (yes, that does happen). Thin and reminiscent of her former beauty, she's resolute in her desire to provide for Cosette a better life.

Cosette is my least favorite female character in the book, after Mme Thernardier. I just don't like or respect anything she does or says. However, that doesn't mean she's not beautiful. Or kind. She's just too saccharine for my tastes.

And finally, we come to Eponine. In the books, she's conniving, untrustworthy, and seemingly heartless. However, she falls completely in love with Marius, but realizes that he will never return her feelings. In the musical, she's a much more sympathetic character, but I prefer her in the book. As with most of the characters I love, she's flawed, but her intentions are out of love. This love happens to be for Marius (who is kind of a douche), but it's still love. I know that in the book, she's haggard, rail thin, and a shadow of her former beauty. However, I ran into 2 obstacles:

1. Azalea just makes pretty dolls, and you simply can't make one look haggard or sickly no matter how hard you try.
2. I wanted to reflect her former beauty, while still hanging on to her plain and unbecoming state.

All in all, I think I made her too pretty. Eh. I can live with it.

So, there you have it! Can't wait for the movie!

I love it,  but one problem... Ponine's hair was dark reddish blonde, not black or brown as she is most often portrayed onstage. It mentions it only briefly in the book, describing "chestnut curls' when she's a child, and calling her a blonde in 'A Rose In Misery', but it's there.

otherwise, !

YAY!! I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand her!

Thank you - I'm not artistically talented AT ALL, and I love Doll Divine/Azalea, so I just wanted to share what I've done. It helps that they're gorgeous games, made by talented people!
