Other mother is a creature that could be called a sea elf, other is an invasive alien species with some mesmerizing skills, as a result you get a woman who's known as the Siren because her voice is a weapon. That she uses to get whatever the fuck she wants.
And she's not even a villain in this story, she's one of the "morally dubious but sometimes good"-guys.
