I had to share this one as wellAfter I edit the first two or three "safe images" that i feel will be good first impressions of the shoot, my mind clears of social duties and i find the shots i like best. My critical eye rules out a lot of images at this point. This one stuck with me, and i feel its got a lot of subtle powers going for it.
"Be the gentle wind that calms the sea" comes to mind
and also little drummer boy lost in the middle of the battle.
Rachel DaShae is the model, but i dont think the viewer is entitled to that, as i enjoy calling her by her tribal name Little Feather

about branding: i like my images better without my logo or name on them. but so often, these images are used to the gain of someone else. please dont repost my work without credits to me as the photographer, and ill be able to post work without logos more!

I'm sorry but this is cultural appropriation. No tribe I know of dresses like this (or not dresses apparently). Women were and are always clothed and never wore or wear paint like that unless it was earned.
Also, to the people here commenting on this. Please be aware that the words injun, red indian, brave, and indian princess are not good names. They are derogatory actually.

Beautiful shot. I can understand why this one stuck with you. It is really striking and the lighting is wonderful. Also I believe you happily found an amazing model. Her face is so emotive it demands the centre of attention.

Great photo, could have done without the tattoos, but still a great shot.
I love the texture and warm color tones, background, hair color, black feather, the lonesome swatch of red on the upper cheek... the models expression: mouth slightly open, as she silently stares you down... Nice shot.

Beautiful model. Great, crisp contrast captured with the hair on skin and against the background . The braids and the feather are just so dramatic to me. The overall results are just perfectly dramatic. Great Photograph.

there is something about her i cant put my finger on (in a good way)
maybe its how innocent her hands are crossed behind her back but contrasted with elegant fingers. Or her innocent facial expression in contrast with such *grown up* eyes. You chose a perfect model for this I love it. I wouldnt change a thing about it. You captured the culture so perfectly with little detail
