beautiful shot(s). awesome scenery.
but it's probably for the best you didn't become a conductor or engineer--great money, but horribly lifestyle.

well... in the winter time... well you know. Plus i wanted to get photos with snow in them and it is now all melted so I put my emphasis more on the snow on the ground.

Is this some sort of image-combining HDR procedure? Lots of local tone correction? A particular camera? There's a peculiar lighting and contrast between objects.

Is it off of multiple shots, combined, then? I've considered trying something like this, but always forgot to take the identical bracketed shots to do so on site.

yeah 3 different exposures... and you should really check into it... but you will have to read some tutorials on tone mapping because it took me 6 months to find photomatix and it is really the only thing to fit my taste, but cs2 will make HDR and so will Photoimpact

Yeah, first I'll need a decent tripod, though. I ended up dropping and breaking my current one in the cold weather. I'm saving up a couple hundred bucks and looking to get a good low-pro-grade one pretty soon. I do a lot of low-light, so that's quite a bit more valuable than a good flash-- something else I'm saving up for.
(Let's not even talk lenses... photo equipment is so expensive!)
