I watched final episode of Battlestar Galactica. Another series that made me reconsider many aspects of life and my studies- first of all keeping on studying at different fields may help...
Gaius is finally with Caprica... I cried like an idiot- when Anders flew into the sun with entire fleet and through his coma he said his farewells to Kara. Kara disappeared, just like Deus ex Machina(lol- Nomen omen That's kinda ironic). She seemed to me to be like an Angel, just like Alter Caprica and Alter Gaius- visible only for 2 people, Kara was visible to all the fleet.
I've made a digression. Gaius- my another reason to cry when he finally accepted the way his father lived- at the very end. He underwent numerous evolution steps- from materialistic scientist, through Guru and highly religious and moral, into a farmer... Pretty awesome development
I cried when Kara disappeared and obviously when Laura died by Adama's side... She was such a woman that couldn't accept her feelings. I guess that's why Adama put his wedding ring on her finger when she died. And his monologues at her grave- truly touching.
I guess this series made me reconsider what I used to think and do- does it really have to happen all over again? History has a tendency to repeat itself, but does my prejudice and hatred to people have to return to me with every full circle of life period? It's not that easy to put trust into people, but what if I were to live in a small nomadic community, just like characters of the series... I don't know if I would be able to trust and work for better future, without care of my own benefits. I guess it's pretty unreal. That's why I loved the series. I don't have to suffer, because each character suffers his/her own, personal fall or lost. Highly depressing series, but truly touching.
