omg, it's kai! XDamazing how you can suck so bad when you actually try, but when you doodle mindlessly, it can turn out almost exactly how you imagined it. XP
yes, i drew this in, like, less than one minute in american heritage.
now, just to get something straight, this is hm 64 kai, not (m)fomt kai. ya see, i imagine (m)fomt kai as confident, outgoing, flirty (but NOT a player), and maybe a bit cocky or arrogant, while hm 64 kai as quieter (no, not maria/mary quiet, just not really all that outgoing), super nice, and polite and respectful (yes, i do believe hm 64 kai would be a gentleman XP). i also think hm 64 kai would clumsier for some reason. XD i really can't choose between them, since (m)fomt kai is totally sweet and stuff, but hm 64 kai just has an adorable personality. X3 please keep in mind that this is just how I view them and would portray them in fanfics; it's not official or anything.
yes, so, in case you haven't noticed, kai is my favorite harvest moon character ever. ever since my first hm game, hm 64, people.
ah, but it's difficult loving a character who is badly stereotyped so much. =/ oh, yeah, and his jacket is wrong because i did it out of memory. also, the present's not floating, he's about to drop it or something. ^^' you guys can go ahead and decide for yourselves who the present's for. XP

kai really is awesome, isn't he? haha, he was my first video game crush (back when i was, like, ten). XD he was such a sweetheart in hm64; and i found his mfomt counterpart was equally as awesome four years later. seriously, he's the only hm character whom i love all versions of. currently trying to win his heart in hm boy and girl and ds cute. X3

tbh, i haven't played the boy game yet on the psp. the girls in fomt didn't interest me at all, so i haven't had much motivation. :/ so, i'm just focusing on kai for now. i kinda wanna marry gray as well, though.... which is ironic, because i totally disliked his character in fomt/mfomt/ds/cute. XD;

haha, kai's really the only mineral town boy i like (with the exception of psp gray). XD; probably because i grew up on hm64; the mineral town boys will never compare to the originals, imo.
i wanna get Hero of Leaf Valley, but i can't really afford it at the moment. D:

Aw. Too bad. I have a secret actually. My uncle downloads my games that's why getting to play Harvest Moon games I don't have is kinda easy for me, as long as I have my uncle. XD Hero of Leaf Vally's great. SFX sucks, though.

well, if you ever do get the chance, you should totally play hm64. it has all the same characters as the psp one, but everyone has a different role. tbh, the families in hm64 seem to make more sense, since the characters were specifically designed for those roles (hm64 came before mineral town; mt just stole the characters).
i'll probably ask for hero of leaf valley for christmas.... that and my birthday are generally when i get all my games. XD;

Well, I really wish my uncle would give his PSP or NDS to me on my birthday. (Which is the last day of September. ^^) (The NDS and PSP are his, not mine) I mean, I use them more often than he does, so it's probably better if he gives both to me. >

Well, I'll go over the marriage candidates and your rivals; this post would be way too long with all the characters. <_<;
1. Ann and Gray are siblings, with Doug as their father and Rick as their cousin; they also live on a ranch, while Rick has his own tool shop. Ann's a super tomboy, while Gray is very quiet.... and kind of jerkish when you first meet him (though, chances are, you'll learn why in the game).
2. Elli lives with her grandma Ellen at a bakery where she works; Jeff also works there (fyi, he's a lot younger in hm64). Elli's very sweet and loves baking.
3. Karen's parents are Gotz and Sasha, and they own a vineyard; Kai's the hired help there. Karen's kind of cold at first, but she has big issues with her dad, who doesn't want to let her move to the city (befriend her right away, because if you don't, she WILL, and she won't come back). Kai just adorable and an all-around nice guy. X3 He's head-over-heels for Karen. XD
4. Popuri's parents are Basil and Lillia, and they own a flower shop. Popuri's pretty much obsessed with flowers. A little bit ditzy, too.
5. Maria (yeah, not Mary) still works in a library, but her dad is Mayor Thomas and her mom is Anna. She's really shy, but loves reading, and wants to write a children's book.
6. Cliff's a wanderer. He doesn't really have a home throughout the game. He's also Karen's cousin. He's a bit more hardcore than MT Cliff, and doesn't mope as much. XP
7. Harris is the mailman; he likes writing letters, and is constantly trying to write a love letter for Maria.... and constantly failing. He's a pretty nice guy.
Anyways, the pairings are: AnnxCliff, KarenxKai, PopurixGray, MariaxHarris, and EllixJeff. Yeah, I know you're probably thinking WTF? on EllixJeff, but, like I said, he's A LOT younger in this game. And not anybody's dad.
And I hope you get the DS and PSP! It'd probably be a lot nicer owning one.

I always preferred Mineral Town Kai. For some reason, in HM64, Kai spoke (in my head) like Hadji from Johnny Quest. And in BTW, well... He was an asshole. (M)FoMT Kai was a nice, confident guy who seemed genuinely baffled as to why the male population hated him (Outside of Rick. And then he was probably wondering why he got THAT mad...)

although, i do agree with you on (m)fomt kai. frankly, i fail to see why almost everyone chooses to believe rick, when kai is clearly not how rick describes him (and by "almost everyone" i mean the harvest moon fanbase).

well, i've never played the playstation versions, besides save the homeland, so i don't really know what he's like in back to nature. i've played friends of mineral town and that was based on btn, though.

nah, unfortuneatly, you can only be a boy in hm 64.
but you can marry him in more friends of mineral town and btn for girls (which is basically just the girl story on hm boy and girl for psp). he's real sweet in mfomt. ^_^
