You cannot have Link without his Zelda!Ugh... Yeah, the shoulder thing is WAY OFF, but I couldn't find a good reference. Started making things up half way through haha.
And she looks too skinny... Maybe it's the arm.
Anyway, omfg. I drew lips. YESSS. I felt like a make-up artist while coloring it. XD

Thing is that I'm a writer, but I'd love to be able to draw. I have all these images in my head but whenever I try and put them to paper . . tthhhpppptt!

Yeah I know what you mean. Sometimes even I can't draw what I want on paper. It's frustrating when it doesn't come out as you had pictured it in your mind. x__x
But all I can do for those who have the same concerns as you do is to draw FOR them. Hence, commissioning lol.

I love how melancholy her expression is! 
The only constructive criticism I can think of is that her torso looks a bit too narrow. (I know, drawing Zelda in that shoulder armor is tough because you always think it looks too wide, until you add the rest of the body...)

This definately is impressive.
I've seen alot of Zelda drawings, but there's been alot of mistakes on some them or just small errors, but this is one of the most beautiful ones.
I know this is just a practice and a simple drawing, but the simplicity makes this beautiful in some way.
The colors here are spot on and just perfect.
I must also praise you for your cg painting talent. Your strokes are a pleasure to look at.

Ah thank you for the review and critique. Oddly enough, this is the first time I've tried this painting style. I guess I was lucky haha.
I drew her with a sad expression because I cannot see her as a character that is particularly "joyful". I've only gotten through Twilight Princess in my Zelda gaming history and it seems she constantly has the weight of the world on her shoulders (as well as Link's). That, and the fact that she's always imprisoned for most of the games.

People like, download the programs all the time haha. Though depending on the connection, it might be slow sometimes.
If you can, get them asap because it takes years to master. =O

I'm using... Paint Tool SAI. Certainly a marvelous program for line art work. But, I don't think it's good for graphics. For the tools that it lacks, I use Photoshop CS3. Kinda swapping in and out sometimes haha.
