Description
This is my first payed design project. The band, Calerway, from Perth, Australia asked me to design their debut album - “ Midnight Mercenaries”. I worked with JP to create what you see above. He wanted something simple and in an vintage style similar to that of Tanner Morrow.
A limited edition of 500 were printed for there Western Australia tour. You can check them out and listen to their music on myspace - [link]
I also created a poster, tee and some magazine ads in the same style.

This is what Calerway had to say:

Having recently found myself in the high pressure position of having to organise album artwork for an upcoming Australian release I can not be more satisfied with the product and work process that I have experienced with Oliver Ward at 31770.
I located Oliver on the deviant art website, initially impressed but his online portfolio, and after making contact was glad to hear that he was interested in the project. Initially I made contact with ten various artists on deviant art and Oliver was by far the most prompt to deal with and came up with the most striking and relevant designs to the theme we were after from the beginning.
The next several weeks was a banter of requests from my end of the table, to which Oliver continually improved the quality and style of the artwork to create the final product of which we are completely wrapped with. All along the process he was very patient with the varying requests and extremely reliable and expeditious.
I look forward to working with Oliver again in the future and would recommend him to anyone who finds them selves in the difficult position of needing a designer they can trust and rely on for the results they want.
