I watched all three seasons of Avatar for the first time last week and, hooray, new obsession!
So, this morning, I woke up and really felt the need to draw Azula, who is in the top 5 of my favorite characters. She was intriguing throughout the entire series, but especially so near the end when she actually becomes someone deserving of sympathy.

This is incredible, there's something just so uncontrolled about her expression, like she's forgotten how to use the muscles in her face and they're just going off on their own.

Azula losing it at the end was by far my favorite part of the ENTIRE series. The animation was so good and she really just went apeshit. Very very well done!

I was actually really impressed with how they dealt with her character at the end. It was one of the few elements of the ending that I actually found to be successful and gripping. It just made her so much easier to sympathize with.

This picture reminds me a bit of some of Brian Froud's paintings, I'm not too sure if you ever heard of him, but he's a great fantasy artist.

This kinda reminds me of the Joker from the new batman movie. I'm not really sure why.

Gosh, isn't it hard to choose though? I have such a hard time narrowing it down to 5, LOL.
I really like this piece! It's always interesting when people make cartoon characters look "real", and you've done a wonderful job
