Everyone keeps saying the same thing,But something inside of me isn't very understanding,
Believing to the point of day dreaming,
My conscious must not be nearly as demanding,
There's an adrenaline rush in falling,
I'm starting to ignore Love's calling.
How can I work on something I don't have?
How can I find it funny if I can't laugh?
How can I stay if I know it won't last?
How can I shut off a feeling so vast?
She doesn't even know I'm watching,
She probably isn't even expecting
What's been a long a time coming,
The cool air and the cars humming
Just before I close this story on a happy ending.
When she runs through your veins
There's a calm like morning rain
It's the exact same relief of pain
That begins just before the lights fade.
Someday I'll walk in there feeling
Like doing what they've been telling,
And I'll look to your picture so mesmerizing,
I'll turn to Lake Superior without worrying,
I'll take a single shot towards waking
Myself up from this endless panicking.
