Amy Rose in her "Rosey the Rascal" colours.ΒAmy's always been an irritating, throw-away character to me, but I do want to like her.
I think she'd benefit from being represented in a more ...mischievous light. This isn't the same Amy Rose who pines for Sonic every hour of the day, or....whatever the heck she's supposed to be in Boom... "Girl". This Amy IS a rascal. She causes as much trouble as she confronts.Β
No hammer drawn, because fuck the hammer.

I can be agree with what which I don't need to repeat it. Part of me tell me my love of Amy is 1) She's one of the few girls characters on the Sonic games and 2) It's hard to identify her in a official way because there is like too many versions of her. I think this rascal version looks fun and great, tough I have a soft nostalgia of the way she was portrayed in the first Sonic Adventure videogame.

Well I do agree with Amy being more awesome in her mischievous ways. it's very much her classic way and that's totally awesome, but I have to point out that Amy doesn't pine for Sonic every hour of the day, at least modern Amy doesn't. there has been many times in the games alone she doesn't even think about Sonic. In fact Amy only pined for him sometimes. Sonic Adventure she pined for him a little but she was also playable and her story showed her getting stronger so she can fight for herself without Sonic around. sure in SA2 and Heroes she was a little pushy with the marriage thing but again it was like once in each of those. Amy isn't some crazy fangirl that lives and breathes only Sonic. Sonic Chronicles she still liked him but she was more focused on saving her friends. I won't deny that she loves Sonic. but she doesn't let her feelings get in her way of everything else in her life. this is of course Modern games Amy, I can't speak for most of the other Amy Roses.
Other then Sonic Boom. and even someone like me doesn't really like Boom Amy. she's just...the "girl" of the series. she also keeps bringing up that women equality over and over again. I'm all for women equality and all but she shoves it in everyones faces all the time. I don't like what they turned her into. I mean sure it might be a problem here. but in their world why would that even be a problem? what would make Amy even think that way in Boom? I have never seen any reason for her to act like that.
Ether way I enjoy this outfit and all. this is really good. I just had to say my opinion.

I like to see her as the multitalented member of the group, photgraphic memory, althletic skills, and knowledge of the occult from her stint asΒ fortune teller. And that any of her sillier momments are from her atraction to sonic and an overactive imagination.

How does inspiration not count as creative thinking? Are you saying that the sonic characters in dbz style outfits wasn't creative? Heck, by that line of logic any art you make of a sonic character is uncreative because you took influence from the original designs. Well, whatever it's probably going to be quite some time before I actually create a redesign for Amy. IfΒ I still like the idea od a green jacket by that point I'll just avoid looking at your version so it doesn't look identical, sound fair?

You didn't mention inspiration. YouΒ askedΒ to "use it" for your redesign. So before you tear into someone because you didn't get the answer you wanted, maybe take a look at what you/other people write and see where a misinterpretation could occur. Are we crystal clear?

Not crystal but that seems to be a reoccuring problem for me, people often misinterpret want I say and often I misinterpret what others say.
So just to clarify, if I make an amy rose redisign that includeds her classic collor scheme and a green jacket, as long as it doesn't look like I ripped off your design, I'm good?
Keep in mind that I'm not making a sarcastic comment or anything, I want a clear response just as much as you want a clear question.

At the end of the day, I could say yes or no or draw lines in the sand and I can't exactly stop you from drawing what you want to draw. If you want to give her a green jacket because you think it looks good in this picture, that's your decision to make.
I don't look highly upon copied ideas. I've dealt with that a lot of times regarding my work. Inspiration is different, though even then there are creative liberties you need to take in order to make your work unique and your own.
Give it some serious thought so that when all is said and done, even you can tell yourself "yes, this was something I put some real thought into".

Amy is personally one of if not, my most beloved favourite character. Dunno, I always found the whole chasing down sonic to be cute, he did save her in Sonic CD, she just wants to be held in his arms again, which is adorable. XD

Amy was always a guilty pleasure character for me; I know her personality is totally one-dimensional and pitifully underdeveloped, but I was a sucker for the cutesy pink and she only really grew on me once Lisa Ortiz became her established VA in the games.
But yeah, she's just... an acquired taste kind of character, and the Boom version doesn't stick out, even though they were trying to do something new.
