Description
She is a Hindu goddess of Knowledge and her name is Devi Saraswati
Devi-means goddess
She is the wife of the creator of the world Brahma
She always rides on her Swan wherever she goes and she wears white sari with gold embroidery
usually Hindu gods and goddesses have 4 ,6 hands or more than that
but i only wanted to make 2 hands here to look normal
Lotus is the main flower that every Hindu god/Goddesses carry
she's also carrying musical instrument VEENA
it's an instrument which has a very soothing tune

Wow i absolutely LOVE this!! And the detailed description too. Just one thing I thought I'd tell you, that she carries a Veena, not a Sitar. Both instruments look similar but are actually different.

Saraswati carries the VEENA. It is a completely different instrument from the Sitar. I'd suggest looking up the instruments and the music they make for youself on youtube.

I love this! This is very beautifully done! I started studing Indain histroy a little while ago, and this is very nicely done! Not like the abridged ones i see around the intrenet wth the peace signs and the other misalanious things in the backround. You kept it simple and pleasureable. And you are very repsect her as a vallued icon. i respect that. This is an instant

Wow! A beautiful representation of her! I like how you rendered her into an anime character, and I like her stylized sitar (but shouldn't she be carrying a veena instead? Ah, well). Lovely work, it looks like something out of a comic book. Nice, smooth coloring.

she is actually the goddess of knowledge, music, & the arts.
in the hindu culture, she took the form of a swan, as they are beautiful creatures, & her riding on the swan is just the metaphor of her animal or "spiritual" image.
had you drawn four arms, each arm represents a way of life, or what she is known for. the lotus flower, also, in the hindu culture is known for it's protection, beauty, & fertility. she sits on this for all those reasons.
