thanks! it's actually pretty easy to get a transparent background, you have to have a transparent layer (either what you're drawing on, or if you're editing a scan, underneath) and if there is a background, you just select and delete what y'don't want.: O
it can take some practice, though.
also, this is super hard to do without a tablet or a mouse.D;

i believe you---you did a really good job! The edges look clean. Do you have to save the file as a png in order to keep the transparency?
