I had a request from ~biblio85 for a pic of Sharon Nomura, a character from The Gargoyles Saga but since I'm bogged down with other stuff at the moment, I re-posting an illo I did of her and Delilah for a TGS story. *L* Just don't ask me which one -- it's been a long, LONG time since then. (It might be 'Something Old, Something New' but I'm really not sure.)This scene had Delilah and Sharon out on patrol and Sharon had just spotted someone. Sharon's backstory as I remember it was that she is first generation Japanese American and her family owned a business that got in trouble with the Yakuza. Taro, who was now involved with the Yakuza, made a deal with Sharon to used in an experiment, which turned her into another of Sevarius' mutates. She wound up with the Labyrinth Clan and has swore vengence against Taro.
At least I think that's how it goes. I never wrote any stories involving her, just the one illo.
Prismacolor pencils on bristol -- the original is probably in my art morgue somewhere.

Just found this... I remember that fanfiction collaboration very well... best interpretation of Greg's notes I've found second only to what he would have put out on SLG had he been given the chance.

It is really great to see some of your old artwork of Gargoyles on Deviant Mommyspike. I love all of them. But I noticed in your artist comment that you said that she fell prey to another of one of Servarius's mutation projects. She didn't actually, she purposely mutated herself into a mutate when a man named, Kimura Takeo "Tommy" wanted to marry her not for love but to have her as a wife of 'Ancient Tradition'. When she began to avoid him he began to stalk her, had her boyfriend at the time get beat up and started to harrass her family too. After a bad court hearing and the charges against him dropped she took the mutagenic formula to become a mutant and went after him herself and threatened to kill him if he didn't leave her family alone. I don't think she had nothing against Taro, but I wouldn't really know about that.
But other than that, she was a very interesting character in the TGS. I hope you post more of your old drawings that you have done. Not only from TGS but also some you also did for other Fanfiction writers. It's great to see them again.

I totally clicked on this thumbnail thinking the mutate was a gargoyle version of Katara from Avatar the Last Airbender- it was the outfit- totally thrown.
