Description
In the next chapter of "When Graeme Met Lucy", Kirima from Antarctica is paired with Happa from Ishimura. Before you ask, Happa has not shrunk... Kirima is the largest female at the conference, between 6 1/2 and 7 feet tall.This is the second version of Kirima.

It's ok that he is following a Japanese tradition but if he realize that Ariana wants a male that REALLY LOVES HER (because thanks to Kirin, she learned the real meaning of loving someone) i'd support him, but...

I would say Kai is the one who is screwing Happa's love life, thanks to his eagerness of returning Sata's bloodline back to Ishimura because if the boy had his ways, he wouldn't pursue Ari just to make daddy-sama happy.

From what I understand, Kai has made no moves to push those two together. Besides, if Kai were so desperate, he would just let Kirin and Ari-chan be mates since Kirin is of the Ishimura clan originally. And Happa has made no attempt to court Ari untill she came back with Kirin, no suggestion at all from Dad.
I know you don't like how everyone is reacting to Kirin and Ariana's relationship, but if it weren't for their reactions and interference, there would be no story worth reading.
Think you could ease off Kai and Brook a bit? They may be going about it the wrong way, but they're trying to do what they think is best for their clan/child. Something which is made all the more difficult with their highly public positions in their prospective clans and Leader and SIC.

The names Sata, Ariana and Graeme came from Brian Dumlao. Not sure where he got them from.

Ah, I see. I had always wondered about that, since most Gargoyle names I could at least vaguly trace to one source or another, but those three were drawing a blank.
Well, except for Graeme, after an On-Line friend told me how to properly pronounce it as 'gram', I started to suspect Alexander Graham Bell, inventer of the Telephone and founder of the National Geographic Society.

I'm particularly not appreciating how Brooke and Kai are dealing with that situation. And a story of love without antagonists are not worthy reading, indeed

Ah! Yeah, I remember that, but just because he's anxious, doesn't mean he's cramming those two together. The feeling I got from Goliath's line was that he would ask Sata from time to time if she would be willing to arrange a trial courtship at least.

Hmmm...You'll have to forgive me if I am disinclined to beleive you. But I am curious at how Kai's gonna react if/when Ikeike desides to play a larger role in this little drama.

You may think that i'm joking but i don't wan to believe of what i said about Brooke and Kai "asking some help" from Ikeike, as well as Happa's intentions on Ari are purely politics. But this is the picture of the jigsaw i could pieced together from the story up to now. Let's hope that the duo of antagonist can adjust themselves soon before Ikeike show her claws or else only Sata and Kirin know what to do with them.

*shakes head furiously* Huh? Sorry, the spelling and wording was a bit oddly done in a few places, but I think I got what you're saying.
My feelings on the "Duo of Antagonists"(Kai and Brook I gather), are that these two aren't letting politics play massively in theirs decisions. ...Well, at least brook isn't I think. Kai frankly has little choice. (sorry if I seem like I'm flip-flopping on stuff, I sometimes have trouble explaining myself)
Brooklyn is simply playing out the "Father Who Can't Let Go Of His Baby Girl" archetype. He's not quite a Capulet or Monteque, but he deffinatly is somewhere along that roll.
Kai's only trying to make sure his friend isn't repeating history in some form or fashion. After all, Kirin has broken his proverbial wings in love before, so Kai is in a way asking Kirin if this isn't some sort of infatuation, or a much belayed rebound of some sort.
At any rate, I wouldn't worry to much about those two if I were you. Spike has hinted that Brook's gonna except Kirin before to long, and I doubt Kai wouldn't fallow suit.
As for Happa......I think Kai and Sakaki(Boy I hope I got her name right) need to give the poor dope a good long sit down after he takes on Kirin and gets his tail handed to him a la mod on a silver platter.

My final thoughts of each character up to now:
Brooklyn: The red beaky guy playing out the "Father Who Can't Let Go Of His Baby Girl" is perfectly acceptable, every fathers do that and i bet Kirin will be twice of what Brooke was when Usagi begin to pursue a boyfriend. The problem is Brooklyn is simply jumping to conclusions and i hate this kind of people.
Kai: As a clan leader Kai is against the relationship but i don't now if he keeps the same opinion as the rookery of Kirin. Only time may tell.
Kirin: I don't think he is having some sort of infatuation. On the last chapters of Ronin he clearly show us that.
Happa: He must learn that courting Ari is not all about rules and traditions.
And just to finish, it was a pleasure to have a conversation over Fan-Literature with you!!

My final thoughts/response:
Brooklyn: Having to watch your girl grow up and leave is always hard, but the first time is alwasy the roughest. That, coupled with todays society experiencing more through movies and television, can make a fertile petri dish for sub-pure thoughts. It may not be comfortable, but it's both natural, and can make for great comedy later on. ^_^
Kai: I agree with the first point, but I beleive that he agrees with Kirin at heart.
Kirin: Oh no, I didn't think so either. I was just saying that for arguments sake.
Happa: Well yes. But of course, a good laxative does wonders as well.
