Hi,

You probably won't recognize this character, because I rarely posted any content about that fandom or talked about. But on the other hand, she is not an OC but a real character and tbh, she's from "Warrior Cats".

I used to be fan of "Warrior Cats" before about 3 or 4 years, that means really early, but for some reason, I totally forgot about that franchise and stopped reading the books, idk why and just in these vacations, I remembered back the series again, again IDK why, so I thought, why not drawing my favorite and most memorable character Brightheart?

And the funny thing is, that I started reading the Warrior Cats franchise also in the SUMMER holidays, to be precise, in the summer 2015. Thus, it somehow felt like weird nostalgia remembering back the franchise after 3 years forgetting and not caring about. Anyways, I considered reading the books again, otherwise I will never read them all.

However, back to the drawing, as I don't want the description to be too long: Brightheart used to be my favorite character in "Warrior Cats" and also the one, I remembered first, when I remembered "Warrior Cats" again and I really wanted to draw her. And yeah, I drew her as a cat, because she IS a cat, as the name "Warrior CATS" can already let you presume that, and as a pony, because I can and I felt like, I had to.

I drew Brightheart's cat version based on this cat, I drew and I have to admit, that it doesn't look that bad in comparison with my previous cat drawings, which were absolute cringy abominations when looking back. I probably already drew three pieces of Brightheart fanart previously. Back to the style: I think, it's a good combination, as the cat still looks realistic, but has some cartoony/chibi elements like a bigger head in comparison with the rest of the body and bigger eyes than normal cats and I might even keep that art style for further art, as I don't want to draw everything 100%ly MLP based.

I also found it nice to add that little detail of the constriction of the cat's pupil at daylight or in the night.

And now to the pony version. Apart from the cutie mark, which meant nothing btw., I made the design close to the canon cat design, but not too close, which means, that I still made her look like a normal pony and I don't think, it looks that bad. The best part in my opinion is, that it's the heigh comparison between a pony and a cat, as a cat is still much smaller than a pony (you can clearly see that, if you google a picture of Rarity and Opal). Probably, I might even do the comparison between pony and human, because in my opinion, my previous artworks weren't really accurate for heigh comparisons. Though, the background isn't considered in their comparison.

Now here at the moment a small announcement: I know, that ponification is extremely hated and unpopular and it supposedly ruins the fandom, that is involved into the ponification, so I have to say my opinion.

In comparison with humanization, I didn't post that many ponifications, I did myself. Here are the only two ponifications, I posted and they were extremely old:

Well, back to the ponification discussion. A lot of non-brony other-franchises-fans say, that ponification was annoying and TOO popular, because they see ponies in every other fandom, that has particulary nothing to do with MLP, and then, they complain, how annoying ponification is and I can totally understand their point. I mean, they just probably want to hang out in their own fandom, but suddenly, they see ponies everywhere and I can understand, how annoying that is. I'm not really an active supporter of ponification, but I don't have anything against that either, so let's say I'm neutral, as I only published (with this artwork) three ponifications.

But here's the important point, why ponification isn't bad. The point is, that people can't forbid bronies to ponify other characters, because they're free in what they want to draw without anyone prohibiting them doing so and if they love to ponify characters, no one can avoid them to do that. Well, you can forbid people drawing nude (minor) characters without using the mature content filter or you can forbid them drawing other not well seen or hateable stuff, but ponification is none of that. And the good thing is, that they can easily just ignore it, when they don't like it like closing their eyes or looking away. They're not forced to click on ponifications, when they don't want to and the people, who ponify characters, are not forced to stop doing so, as it's sorta their hobby and is fun for them.

Specifically on "Warrior Cats". I googled a bit and I've seen a few crossovers between MLP and "Warrior Cats" (MLP and Harry Potter probably also exists) and also a few ponified characters, so I think, that's no big deal. Speaking of Harry Potter: I'm really a Potterhead and already have some comics in my mind. ^^

So to come back to this drawing, I really enjoyed drawing this, I enjoyed every step and it was just fun. I hope, you like this too, even though you might now know the fandom, and you can leave your thought into the comments!!

Today, I had to work a lot at the computer, because I had to write a very very long chapter on my new MLP Fanfiction. Anyways, this description is horribly long as well.
