It looks a bit schlocky(?) because I got impatient with drawing in the computer, realizing that I was never going to get the details and shapes as good as I can get them when drawing on an unchangeable medium (paper and pen), and once again the only working scanner we have hates me, so yeah.
Yeah, it's been about 6 weeks since I last touched this page and dammit I wanted it done. So here it is. I am grateful for the minimum dialogue this time, and yet disappointed by the middle portion looking so bland and me not knowing what else could be done with that, as well as my still utterly inconsistent drawing style.
pweh. And mah damn lines, just don't look like how they ought to: like a woodblock carving or something, that's why manga looks the way it does. I think I'll start looking into manga pens now, I have a bit of cash now from chores. But then manga pens would only be so good with manga paper, and then is manga paper good for scanning? (and honestly actually, idk how to handle manga paper, because it always looks so nice and I'd hate to mess it up. Q3Q *sigh* I feel like a fail, I can't make the stuff I have available to me work for me or still dunno what works best with what and what's best for what and blahblahblah, argh. <.<)Anyhoo, hoped you liked this very short page.
I'll be sure to sketch out the next one as soon as possible.

Though I did like the first story more... >.> But maybe this one's just too new for me to judge lol But its more likely because this one is slightly less super-Hina focused and I love the way you draw her.

I think it is too early to judge, because this story is going to be the same either way, but with an improved pacing imo, because what happened with the last story was I had very little to very crappy use of background, and also the dorm thing was not introduced in a good way with that last page with Hinata changing and Neji walking in on accident. I don't think anyone understood where she was exactly, (which was her bedroom back in their family home someplace). So yeah, trying to establish the setting better here.
And 'super-Hinata focused'?

Maybe its just my way of looking at it that's shifted lol The first one seemed to definitively strike her out as the main character, where as this one seems more of a story about the school as a whole.
But it is still early in the storyline, I could be jumping to conclusions. It was pretty late last night when I prattled out that poorly-thought-out comment ^-^"

In any case, it is still center-ly about Hinata, but there is still meant to be a more... well-rounded focus to everything, like a bit of Ino, half of Sakura, smidgen of Sasuke, half-ish of Naruto...
I feel I rushed the focus on Hinata with the last one and I know I didn't get to establishing the school the best way. I know Japanese manga always introduce everything: characters, school name, town location, etc--- but even that I didn't do right or rather I relied to heavily and put it all out there, so yeah.

Well you've certainly got that bit down so far, not a worry to be had. I've seen enough stories try to jump straight into "full emergence" and fail ("These are the characters already in a normal day of this school/activity. You need to pay extra close attention to get names of individuals and the school, etc etc.") to justify the approach you're taking.
I would like to add that I didn't mean to imply this story was bad in any way, just that I was more attached to the first

Whenever something pops into my inbox I still go "Whoo! Momo posted something~!" and then get thrown off when its back to this introductory point in the story, so there's a clash of "Lookie new stuff!" and "Oh we're doing stuff over in a different way."

Ehh... I think Hinata's hair might be longer there than it was supposed to be. It doesn't look like that in the past pages and I didn't bother to check at all.
But that aside, glad you enjoyed the page.

I have learned from experience that better materials do not necessarily make better art. I like working with regular paper, a mechanical pencil, and if I feel like inking, a plain old ink pen. Not ballpoint though. Ballpoint sucks balls for me.

I'd love to master ballpoint someday, you can hatch and blend and whatnot pretty nice, but ballpoint scans suck the worse on our scanner.
(the only materials I feel particularly awesome with are lined paper and mechanical pencils.

If the scans are slanted, you can use a program, like GIMP or photoshop to change the plane so that it isn't slanted anymore.
Or, if you wanted, you could just draw your own horizon line with a ruler.

I was just speaking retroactively, or whatever, even though it was like a few weeks ago last I scanned a slanty pose that didn't look slanty at first.
My scans aren't whats slanted though, because the scanner won't read if the paper isn't lined up against the corner with the green arrow.

BUt i have personal question, How do you ink exactly
i mean i work with inking markeres sometimes, but mine never come out as good as this! what do you use?

I used a pack of staedtler pigement liner that I bought awhile ago. I tested them and my other pens, and realized that these are more opaque, and that's why the others I used never scanned good.
But it still didn't really scan that great, so I've actually blurred the lineart once, duplicated on multiply layer twice with a little extra blurring each, so that way it'd look somewhat smooth. :\
