Okay, so one of the side affects of being obsessed with something at the same time as someone you spend 24 hours of the day with is that you develop this ridiculous, complex sub-fandom that exists only between the two of you. This is a part of that.We imagine that, once it starts getting cold, some switch just flips in all the captains and first mates that causes them to become inseparable and unimaginably clingy. It's a survival instinct to prepare for hibernation and...mating (lololol 'first mating' lololol! XD) Anyhoo, that is 'the season'...
It looks a little something like this.

Fun times...though I feel I didn't do Daddy WB justice (hurhurhur, how ironic) in his proportions, we pick ourselves up and stumble on. XD
These people who are usually beautiful- just not here - belong to Oda

You portrayed in such a lovley way the captain/deputy relationship, showing how close and special is their bond... I think that this feeling of "possession" it's quite evident in a metaphorical sense. Their spiritual connection is so deep and so strong that you can't explain it in other words... furthermore, the captain usually chooses his mates (we have seen it with Luffy and Zoro, Roger and Silver... and also with Shanks and Yasopp! So, I presume that he had chosen like that even Ben
Anyway, I love those hugs.

I'm glad that you thought their different connections came through clearly with all the different tackles/hugs. XD Shanks and Beckman's definitely took the most time and effort but I was quite pleased with how it came out as well!

And I wish I could put more of our sub-fandom into the world...I have plans to, but me and plans just never seem to work. XD

You're welcome! Luffy's expression actually looks a lot like it does when Oda draws that type of expression on him, and it's just such a naturally Luffy-ish expression, so well done. OTL I completely forgot to mention that perspective on Shanks and Ben- it worked very well indeed, so I guess you won that particular battle~ :3

Haha! Love the perspective you've got going for Benn and Shanks! Looks great! I would never be able to draw from that angle.
The little dead and not-dead floating chibi heads are adorable!

Normally, I couldn't draw from that angle either. It took a lot of trial and error. XD Eventually I just took a deep breath and allowed myself to be temporarily possessed in order to pull it off. XD Naturally, Ben found himself first and then Shanks (after trying to fit himself in, on, and around Beckman in about fifty different ways) finally behaved and settled down atop his beloved Beckie.
Luffy and Zoro on the other hand just arrived. I didn't even have to erase. I was so on my A game. XD
