Hey doesn't this look familiar? Yes! This is a redraw of one of my mermay from earlier May!
Today I decided to be bold and experiment! I mean the result didn't come up as clean as my previous entries but I got something new and I am eager to apply the result to my next paintings
reeves watercolor, wet on wet, stretched 200gsm paper~

it looks good, amazing even, but what i think could be fixed here is the background. as for its clear they are supposed to swim, to me it kind of looks like they're swimming in the air up to the sun or heaven. as i said, its clear he's supposed to swim, but i think more effects, for example bubbles or floaty hair, could make it more clear that they're actually in the water. at the end of the tail it seems more clear they're actually in the water than in the upper part of the body. as i said some effects could fix this but for the rest it looks really amazing
