Description This started as a random sketch out of boredom...but I couldn't stopp to draw further and finally paint it in photoshop. I like the small markings at his ear

So say hello as well

So soft and beautiful. This shows some kind of a calming athmosphere.

No references??? You have got to be joking.
Can I say my favourite picture ever?

yeah...I swear But I've to say, the 'original sketch' (the one on paper) didn't look nearly as good as the end result. I find it much easier to correct anatomical faults with photoshop and tablet because you can pick a single part of the whole subject and change it like you want even if you just want to rotate it a little bit. If you do that on paper you would have to erase that part fully and draw it new. I hope it's understandable what I mean

If it's so...you can
Many thanks!

Aye ^^ It is understandable! I haven't figured out the rotating thingy yet But when I do, I'm sure I'll be looking back at this saying "Damn she said it perfectly!"
It is a wonderful piece, it is my pleasure! (:

If you want to rotate something then you have to take the 'lasso-tool' and encircle the part of your picture you want to change. Then you use the short-cut 'strg + t' and then you have the transform-tool where you can rotate too ^^ (if the short-cut doesn't work go to 'edit' and then 'free transforming') I hope it helps

Yesss~ ..lately I studied many anatomy books to learn the horse's bones and muscles better. And if you know them fairly it's much easier to draw without refs Beside that...it's just the head..and since I can think i loved to draw especially the horse's head ..so I had the most training on this object/part of the horse
Thanks a lot!

Oh well yeah Heads are about the easiest parts of a horse to draw because everyone loves em, I should study some more And your welcome ^^

Yes you should ...it definitely helps Do you know the book 'Animal anatomy for artists' by Eliot Goldfinger? I think it's a good one ^^
