"This reminds me of Mayan legend, where they thought the moon was a woman and the sun a man. So the moon and the sun fall in love and run away together, as in what happens in a lot of these stories, the moon's family gets angry and kills her off. After the crime, magical dragonflies collect the remains of moon and put them in thirteen hollow tree stumps.
The sun kept looking for the moon, and on the thirteenth day, the sun finds the remains of the moon, so 12 of stumps give life to harmful creatures that started filling in the entire world, but from 13 stump, the moon comes back to life and all was well with the world again. This looked like a resurrection of the moon, i'd probably call it moon resurrection or so."
