God this movie was awesome... even though I had to watch the french dub, guh... I stomp the ground hoping for a sequel soon ;_;... Either that or I'll have to make it mahself!! These characters are too loveable to be abandoned after one success.

Just checked. Looks like it's still far in the future, but at least they're working on it! It's the kind of sequel I half-expected to be scrapped after a couple years of rumors.

2019 to be precise.
I hope those rumors are proven false in the end as a grown-up version of the Parrs would be very hard to market in general especially to newer fans who just got into the series (I think Disney/Pixar would be taking the biggest risk if they aged up the Parrs by 5-10-15 years), a small time gap (2-3-4 years) or no time gap would be the way to go as that's usually what Disney/Pixar goes with during non-Toy Story sequels.

Yeah, a couple years is fine. Enough to age the kids just a bit but not change too much in the relationships, though I'm guessing Violet might end up with a boyfriend at that point 
That said, I wonder what interesting story they could come up with that still touches on the family theme. It seems like it should be either focusing on a different family (a dysfunctional one?) or focus on specific family bonds such as siblings. Really not sure. But I trust Brad Bird ^_^

Violet has Tony to worry about (it's obvious that by the events of the sequel Violet will have Tony as her boyfriend), the sequel will explore their relationship further.Β

Hmm... I wonder how much they'll change Violet's personality. It's a classic... from super shy girl to hyper confident adult. But that may be too clichΓ©. C'mon Brad, don't go for something too simple there

I hope they don't change her personality too much or else it'll deviate too far from the 1st film's events, they gotta build on it and having her and Tony together would be a good way to start off. (which makes me wonder if Dash will get himself a girlfriend to try and 1-up his sister, just for fun?)
The worst case scenario I hope never happens: Violet becomes obese (although not dangerously) and is put on Weight Watchers by her mom because of it (granted if anything she's more likely to pack on muscle rather than fat due to superheroics anyways), that would be a direct stab to her development and kind of would detract from her original design a bit (thank god Bird's on board with the sequel, god knows what would have happened if somebody like Micheal Bay got his hands on the Incredibles II).
Granted I think Wall-E touched up on the dangers of obesity quite nicely, heck Violet I think touched up the fact that anorexia is deadly as well and she was nearing down that road had it not been for her dad coming out of retirement (she did mention it in the unused lines from the Vowellet section on the DvD).Β

Thanks a lot ^__^, I actually thought it would be a lot harder to "convert" them. I did that with Serge from Chrono Cross and it was quite harder to do o_O;. Now though, I can make Incredible Comics, bwahaha!
