I love this!!! There's such a trope of the "smart girls" in anime needing to look the part, so to speak - but I would LOVE to see Ami like this! Smart, maybe a bit reclusive (given how focused she'd be on her studies), but stylish and far less timid. And I am in love with her overall look - the simplicity of the jeans-and-t-shirt with that awesome jacket, the blue lipstick and nail polish...damn!
