This is done in colored pencils right?. Can I ask what brand you used on this?. Polychromos colored pencils or just the usual kind?. I do hope you reply cos I'm really searching for great pencils and I don't know what to buy. I already have Prismacolor colored pencils but I still want to have something better than that. So please, can you recommend one?.

I really how you blend the colors. You're tremendously talented and I seriously envy your skills.

Hey thanks heaps for the comment, yes most of it was with colored pencils. I use the normal Faber Castell and Prismacolor pencils.

I find that you get the best results with Prismacolors. So far those are the only brands I've tried as well as derwents but prismas are definitely the best (colors are rich and it all turns out smooth and even) I use Polychromos pencils every now and then but it's only good for paperwith lots of texture. I say stick to Prismas, I doubt there's a better brand out there. Try to get used to them and you'll get the results you want.

Thanks you so much for the info. I actually just bought the prismacolors and I'll follow your advice to just get used to them first. I just thought that Polychromos are better cos for one they are more expensive and two, I saw a lot of Deviants who rave about them. Can you recommend a type of paper that would work best with Prismas?. I'm sorry if I'm bothering you too much, it's just that I'm a noob when it comes to buying art supplies. I never really tried to think too much about it before.hehe. And since you're a Pro, I would like to ask for your thoughts about this. Feel free to ignore me if I'm becoming too much of a bother to you.. I'll understand and I'm already thankful enough that you replied to my first inquiry. Thank you so much again for that.

Not a problem at all! Ask me as many questions if you want. I'm glad I could help

You defs have to be careful when buying art supplies, if you can, test it first before buying anything because everyone has their own preferences when it comes to drawing.Β

With polychromos, you should go to an art store as they usually have sample pencils you can try on an art pad they provide. If not you can just buy individual pencils online or at the shop for $2-$3 each. I see more people rave about Prismas than polychromos though

Also expensive coloring pencils don't always guarantee good quality. I prefer the standard $6 Faber Castell coloring set over the $80 Derwent set to be honest. Derwent is an expensive brand. I don't like their colors but their graphites are THE BEST.Β

Canson papers are good all round. It's perfect for drawing or coloring on and paper in visual art diaries suit too.Β

Be mindful that this is all from my perspective. Good luck with everythingΒ

Thank you so much again. I'll be sure to ask you when I needed advice on things like this again. Actually, in where I live, we don't have many art stores so it's really difficult for us here to find quality art supplies. The only resort would be ordering them online.

I'll try to find the paper you recommend, I really do hope we have it here. hehe. Thanks again and continue kicking ass with your awesome art. . You're my idol already.

On the positive side of things, buying online tends to be cheaper than buying in stores

Could buy Canson paper online as they are hard to find sometimes.Β

Thank you so much for the comment, I'm happy to help whenever I can

"Enter at your own risk. Understand my mind if you can, survive if it lets you."

Can't help but respect and admire the sheer creativity involved in making this piece. It's trying to tell me that your mind contains phenomenal potential in such a cramped space, and extends beyond the inside of your head.

The portraiture and the steel chain are extremely well done as well. Overall, there's nothing flawed with this piece, and it's amazing. So well done!

hot dang this is amazing. the design on his hat is so impressive. honestly.
all the different shapes, lines, colors, and patterns keep the design very original. the gradients are also very
impressive, so bravo on that!! it must me challenging just to be able to do that as successfully as you did.

and now onto GD; the shading is excellent. his eyes are simply gorgeous! so are his lips.
the chain is done really expertly! i wish i could do that, hahahahaha.

an overall powerful and distinct picture and i love it so much.
