this is a work in progress Pin up for a local comic book hero created byI wanted to make a more funny picture but the character history is of no fun at all, and is based on actual accounts that happened or still happen in my city, i tried to do everything possible to not offend the people that have been victims of this crime, the character carries two big pistols, so that was a no no for me in the pinup, i was gonna put some skulls in it but that seemed pretty hard also
anyway i am really bad at composition so if anyone has any suggestions, comments, critics, go right ahead

Amigo, me gusta mucho. Si bien es cierto que tu estilo me gustaba, esto es como un cambio de timΓ³n interesante. Se te ve un dibujo mucho mΓ‘s serio y hasta formal (gracias a las sombras), muy acorde con el tono medio misterioso que tiene la historia.

"Karmesi" muy caricaturizado o estilizado.

PUes me parece muy bien. las sombras estan super chidas. Lo unico que le vi raro en la segunda ojeada es que la oreja de la persona detras no exste y el pelo nace en una parte que no deberia.
A menos que fuera mas bien un efecto para mostrar la direccion del pelo. Pero esto que te digo es imperceptible para quien lo ve sin ojo critocon. ( jeje)
En si no importa tanto ya que el ojo se cautiva en la parte del luchador y de la composicion de sus ropas cuyas lineas te llevan hacia donde dirije su mirada. Abajo. Da un feel "depressed"

tienes razon con lo de la oreja, me vi flojo y decidi
taparla con el pelo, y donde nace el pelo tambien se ve
medio extraΓ±o, le dedicare mas tiempo a esa area por que la verdad
si ya viendolo bien le reste importancia a esa parte.

So this is based partially on real events? Is there a serial killer loose in Juarez that uses two big pistols? Sounds like a tricky subject.

well no the hero or antihero is the one with the pistols
but if put one of em in the drawing it looked like he was the bad guy hehehe
the background story is about the female homicides in Juarez
around the 90's, over 400 were kidnapped, raped and finally killed
usually in a very violent way, it was a time of panic

well you probably heard about it since it
became pretty huge story all over the world
its about the violent deaths of hundreds of women
in Cd. Juarez around the 90's, young girls around 17, 22
were kidnapped, raped and murdered, some were burned
others just thrown to the outskirts of the city, to this day we
still are not sure who the real murderer or murderers were.

actually, I did not hear about that. During the 90's I was living all the way up in Vermont, and the media wasn't really like it is now. So, I guess I didn't hear about it. Very,very sad.
Now, how does your image relate to that story?

well the character in the middle is fictitious, is created by
the guy i posted in the comment, he is like a hero, or antihero
as he kills, he's the justice hand the city never had, and part of the
story of this character or at least much of it is based on the murder of this
young ladies, i still dont know much about it since i didnt created him, but
some of the artwork that i have seen of this character features the
pink cross, the pink cross refers to one young lady that has been a victim
of the crime, there are also black crosses painted on a pink Bg on city light posts referring to a victim also, thats why i put the cross there to be painted pink of course, and well the women there just to reinforce the message that i hope came across.
