Just something I knocked together to submit tonight
Its a possible design for a friend so no pinching. If you want something similar, ask nicely and I'll add you to the frickin' queue!

I mainly use the gradient tools in photoshop, with lots of layers and a bunch of custom made filters. I love the look of traditional watercolour tattoo flash, so I created a bunch of filters from the stages of doing them in the traditional style. Then mixed it up with some bits I can only do on the computer too...

My friend bought a book with a skull from every rotated point, a bit of a weird 1 but it works well when he's doing a sleeve of skulls I guess... I might steal it or 1 of his skulls and start doinf some life drawing...

Thanks, the colours were pretty quick, its just b/w shaded then a gradient filter over the top. The backgrounds are custom tho...
