Description

I had just been exiled from another village, they said I killed a guard, but they had no proof! They didn’t even have a body, on account of it being digested. I returned to my cottage to return to my research. Luckily the guard didn’t catch me setting up the required circle until it was already done. I had found a new spell that could shrink everything in a large area, just about the size of the town center, and who better to use it on than the people who had just exiled me!

When the moon was high I began the spell and the village began to manifest on the floor of my cottage, reduced to a hundredth of normal size. Confused murmurs became screams as the villagers recognized the witch looming above them. The spell hadn’t even finished yet when my fishnet-clad foot crashed through a building. It was reduced to splinters instantly, smearing its inhabitant onto the stone floor, and flinging a passerby into the air. My cackle filled the air like the rumble of a volcano, and spelling an equal amount of calamity. My fingers lost the tingle of magic as the spell finished and the last of the village center manifested fully at my feet.

“Oh no, I’m back in the village, I hope nobody catches me here.” I said sarcastically. “Luckily all I see here is a bunch of bugs.” I walked through the village, casually carving a path through the center as buildings and people crumbled underfoot. Within a few minutes, the whole village was nothing but rubble and splattered remains. When I was satisfied, I whisked the debris away with a wave of my hand, returning it to its normal size and place in the world as a warning for the occasional traveller passing through.
