I was just wondering if you could do one like this for me? I'm rubbish at Photoshop, gimp ect.

Can the shape be the letter "S" in this: [link]

And could the colour of the symbol be a royal purple.

I do not have any other preferences ... basically, the same style as this, just with the arch logo. I think the arch blue logo color and this black metal background will go nice together.

Where did you learn to use Gimp? By tutorial or by yourself? I've been planning to learn, but there is never enough time. Always something else to do (code).

Self taught with gimp but Meet the Gimp org is an excellent reference.

Congratulations on that.
People usually doesn't believe that GIMP is actually powerful, sticking because of it to illegal software and software that limits their freedoms.

Is GIMP really more simple than Adobe Photoshop, or it's just me?

Great wallpaper.

Would you be willing to make one with the Arch linux logo instead of the red debian swirl? I use Arch and I would love to have this as my desktop background, but with the Arch logo instead. Unfortunately I do not posses the knowledge (talent) to make this myself. Thank you!
