Thank you! I have been seeing these beautiful birds for the last few months and was happy to finally get a clear shot. For some reason this one was tolerant enough to let me lurk underneath his perch on our old water derrick and get a couple of shots in before taking off.

Thank you. I've been trying to get a shot of one of these guys for a while now. They have beautiful red feathers on the underside of their wings, so when they fly it is quite pretty. I know this because every time I've tried to get close enough for a shot they fly off!
