The appletun is an amphibian herbivore that lives in packs. They are normally docile unless their young applin are present. The applin is a small monster that is covered in heavy plated armor but cannot move quickly, so it is guarded by the appletun. The appletun eats lots of fruit and has a spitting attack where it spits globs of stomach acid to lower defense. It also has a rolling attack and some claw attacks. It has a false head on its tail. The sour (shiny) appletun subspecies has green armor and a poison spit attack, and it eats large amounts of poisonous fruits. The subspecies also has sharper claws and spikes that inflict bleed. It is said that the meat on the back of appletun has a uniquely sweet flavor.
