Thanks! I didn't win nationals, sadly, but it was fun to win regionals! Digital art is a very broad category, though, so it really would come down to whichever one the judge happened to like best.

This looks absolutely amazing, and you've done a great job with the fur, the colors, and the overall feel and texturing.
Since you said you wanted crits, gonna bring up what I see and hope you won't get upset or anything. Generally, the piece looks amazing and there isn't much wrong with it, just small things. First would be that there are highlighs where they look a bit out of place - the right back leg (its right, our left) inner side is too bright, and that leg is also a bit too wide in the thigh area; and the frong right paw shouldn't be highlighted on the lower side as much as it is, it looks detached from the upper part right now. The front paws are also a bit too far to the side, making the fox appear off balance a little, and if you would've put its right leg somewhere in between the back legs, it would've looked more natural.
But that's all that I can see wrong with it. It looks great over all, and the effort shows

No, I want critiques! I can't improve if people don't point out what's wrong. (I once had a person block me, though, after I gave them just one friendly little tip, so I know how you feel.) The fox is supposed to look off-balanced, but that you couldn't tell that it's supposed to be that way is probably a fault on my part. And thanks for the tips on the highlighting! The lighting was hard to do because the fox itself was creating the light, even from its upper legs, so figuring out how the inside of the body and lower legs would work was tricky.

I was trying to help some people who were even asking for critiques and they still blocked me for being a hater, so yeah, sadly most artists on the internet just take the slightest negative feedback as a personal attack.
If the case is that you wanted to make it obvious the upper legs are the light source, then there's a bit of light missing from its left back leg and there should be some reflected light on the undersides of the tail. On its forearm I guess the problem is that the reflected light spot comes in way too hard and way too sudden, would probably look a bit better if it had a softer transition. You probably won't go back to fix this anymore, but for future reference. It still looks great overall, though!

Hey! I really like this a lot!
The background against the yellows and oranges of the fox makes this piece SO eyecatching. As for the rock it's standing on, it looks like one big solid blob. Normally rocks are a little bit more boxy in shape, and have more cracks in them!
That's really the only flaw I can see. Anatomy is GREAT.
