It's funny cuz he's into Wendigos in mythology as scary beings, and he'd be shocked at it being portrayed as cute. That and it's face looks similar to an OC of mine. I just wanted to show it to him for kicks. Private msg with this address be ok?

Ohmygosh, I really love this one *o* Β I totally LOVE the background, and the little constellations are awesome!! I cannot get over how cute Haru is... ahhh I want to cuddle him just like this ;u; Β I love his fluffy looking fur <3 Β The shading here is so fantastic, I love the shading around the other character's face and her(his?) eyes are just MAGICAL. I really like the "style" of shading (if that's a thing?) like around the shadows of the wings and on her shoulder/arm, it just looks really awesome. Oh and don't forget GLOWY THINGS

I think the shading turned out like that partly because I was using a lot of painterly looking arts for references and some of the style rubbed off on me - a kind of patchwork combo of a touch of Neko's style of shading in my own. that, and I did the shading before base colors and highlights - Which is so weird for a pencil artist haha

Oh wow, this is practically magic! It's as if it was painted with the stars itself - holy crap, the TINY details you've put into this, such as those Okami constellations, wow, that's... really thoughtful - did you actually include all the ones I told you I loved?!Β
How on earth did you paint this? It looks so rich as if it's oils or acrylics or pastels or somehow a mixture of all of them
The glow off the fox fire is perfect - and adds a quiet, mystical air to this. It's almost a little ominous, but in an opposingly gentle/powerful way. I know I'm not making much sense, but I know what I mean, and what I mean is a positive thing!
God the fur detail on that kitsune <3 AND the hair texture; it looks perfect for just ruffling your fingers through. You've made Mouse look so beautifully bat-like too

I did, to the best of my ability! though I wanted to give them that cool outline they have in the game but my paints were not up for it lol
it's a mix of acrylic and watercolor c: there's a touch of salt in the background, but it's hardly noticeable 'cuz a lot of it got painted over.
the glow was done with airbrush - which was a blast to do X3

Isn't a wendigo a Canadian yeti? Which doesn't have wings. Of course my only reference to their appearance are an episode of Sleepy Hollow and the Shin Megami Tensei games...

I've been told it's a native american mythical beast with cannibalistic tendencies and some kind of deer-wolf pelt, but that's just off what I've been told owo the picture was named after a song by fox amoore - so I didn't look much beyond the title or it's beasties /w\

Oh, well as for the origins, there were native American tribes in some parts of modern-day Canada. So we're both right in that respect I believe. Google "persona game wendigo" and you should find my mental image of the cannibalistic beast easily. Scroll down through the image results and you will probably find one that better fits the description you had of a wendigo.
