I love giving werewolves neutral to innocent expressions when I draw them C: It's an interesting spin on the idea if you ask me - especially since they're depicted as menacing creatures almost all the time. I mean why should they be angry? When they attack, I like to give them an incredibly tense expression, maybe even scared- but never viscious. I think the werewolf might be as frightful about what he's doing as the victim is if you think about it...Let me know what you think of it
Mixing feral and anthropomorphic elements here... Do you like the mix?

In some way, adding in a shred of self-awareness makes werewolves an interesting subject to look into developing.

A pleasure meeting another werewolf enthusiast. So you are one of the few people who add a positive outlook on them, well that makes two of us. If you are interested I have two very rough draft stories about werewolves. One it titled Birth in Moonlight and the other is Lac de Luna; oh and if you instead want to read a comic version of Birth in Moonlight, a friend of mine made an adaptation with the same name. In fact I feel that she made the story better.
If you have time of course, I would love to know what you think since you are a fan of werewolves as well ^_^.

I wouldn't say positive. To my mind this is actually rather dark - the one who transformed into the werewolf whitnessing what is taking place without the ability to change a thing. I will look into the stories though, they sound promising :>

True, I don't know that your first impulse would necessarily be to hunt and maime. That's why I always got a kick out of the idea of something benign like a Weregoat. Like you'd awaken to find your buddy turned into some sort of goat creature, not out terrorizing the countryside but instead gnawing on your curtains.

haha, that's cool xD But imagine the werewolf still being a predatory beast but the human "inside" it's head still being conscious while it takes place - And that's what shows on his face. Makes for some pretty dark material if you ask me.

Agreed, that would be a cool concept. I've seen that angle played out in movies/tv shows for folks under some sort of mind control but I don't think Ive seen that for werewolves.

also i did never think on it, but imho you're right about the not being necessarily angry for a werewolf. even if it makes werewolves some very very sad creatures with a very very sad story... they're so misunderstood, i'm going to pet them now tho

Die Strichführung und Gestik sind beide sehr schön <3 Nur das Linke bein müsste, um zu der verdrehten Pfote zu passen, evtl mehr durchgedrückt sein. So sieht es ein bisschen verrenkt us ^^"

Hm, ich dachte eher an einen Twist in der Hinsicht, dass der Werwolf zwar noch immer sein menschliches Bewusstsein behält, aber nicht kontrollieren kann was er tut, sodass er sich selbst bei diesen schlimmen Taten zusehen muss... ka c:

Though I still see werewolves as "cursed creatures", what I meant is that the human below the werewolf hide is still conscious and can whitness what the werewolf is doing. That's why they look so terrified when they attack. I just like this as a grim thought :>

Great drawing. Really dig it. Especially like his body language. In a way, it makes me think of a darker version of a loony tunes character. Where instead of him chasing some roadrunner like character, something is after him.
